Strategies for Being an Active Researcher while Teaching (and having a life)
The aim of this forum is to help you develop strategies for finding a balance between teaching and research (and enjoying life too). Whether you call it a juggle or a balance, many academic women acknowledge the squeeze on trying to 'fit it all in' - managing family and caring responsibilities, developing your teaching portfolio, the pressure to write (and win) grants and publish papers. Our panel of speakers come from a range of disciplines and stages of career, and will discuss their experiences of how they have managed these demands. We hope to offer practical advice in a supportive atmosphere, with opportunities to discuss and share your experiences with other academic women.
Date: Wednesday 7th December, 9.30 - 12 pm
Venue:
Margaret Murray Room, Level 4 Union House
Please rsvp to Melissa Whitrow melissa.whitrow@adelaide.edu.au for catering purposes.
