Thinking Critically About Sustainable Energy -
A 6-part public seminar series
The Science Exchange, Adelaide: July - December 2010
The Royal Institution of Australia (RiAus) and The Centre for Energy Technology at The University of Adelaide were proud to collaborate on an exciting 6-part series and multimedia dissemination product "Thinking critically about sustainable energy."
Moderated by Professor Barry Brook, the Sir Hubert Wilkins Chair of Climate Change at University of Adelaide, this timely series was hosted in central Adelaide at the home of the RiAus, the Science Exchange.
Over 6 months, this 6-part series explored future energy sources, their environmental effects and the potential new alternative sources we must turn to as traditional resources diminish. Professor Brook and a team of experts scrutinised possible alternate energy solutions to present a critical evaluation of each technology and the prospect of it contributing to a workable solution.
This series was a valuable opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the energy sources humans rely upon today, and help us all to understand the options our society is considering to sustainably deliver our future energy demands.
