Study opportunities at the Children's Research Centre
Inaugural fellowship
The Children's Research Centre has for the first time established a fellowship program for science or medical graduates who have completed the requirements of a PhD within the last five years or who are enrolling in a higher research degree as part of their medical postgraduate training. The fellowship has been established to fund new research in paediatrics that fosters synergies between two of the existing research programs of the Centre for up to three years. The successful candidate will have two supervisors (one of whom must be a member of the Discipline of Paediatrics at the University of Adelaide) and be responsible for assuming a leadership role among other research students in the Centre.
Applications for the 2010 fellowship are now closed, but will open again in 2013.
Honours scholarships
The Children's Research Centre awards two $4,000 Honours Scholarships every year. To apply, candidates must have enrolled in an honours degree that will advance paediatric knowledge in one of the Centre's core areas of research. These include diabetes, gut disorders, immune deficiencies, allergies, cystic fibrosis, sleep disorders, mental health issues, community epidemics, bone impairments and neuromotor conditions.
Applications for the 2010 Honours Scholarships are now closed. Candidates can apply for the 2011 Honours Scholarships at the end of 2010.
