About the Centre for Housing, Urban and Regional Planning

The Centre for Housing, Urban and Regional Planning (CHURP) is a newly established research centre at The University of Adelaide. It comprises a network of researchers, academics and other practitioners whose shared vision is to undertake high quality housing, urban and regional research and disseminate their findings for the betterment of society.

The Centre is headed by Professor Andrew Beer, Professor of Geography at the University of Adelaide.

CHURP team members have backgrounds in geography, sociology, anthropology, environmental management, demography, public policy and law.

CHURP researchers have expertise in the fields of:

Survey of Community Participation of Older South Australians 2012

This project seeks the views of South Australians aged 60 years and over (and Indigenous South Australians aged 50 years and over).  We want to gain an in-depth knowledge of older people's experiences of community engagement.
