Assessment Futures
The Assessment Futures website is for experienced teachers in higher education, who have completed some study in the area (it is not a basic introduction to teaching and assessment). Teachers who have developed knowledge and skills in teaching and learning. They will know how to take ideas and design guidelines to develop and rework effective activities and strategies for their students.
Interactive e-Assessment
The interactive e-assessment website contains discipline examples of online assessments that incorporate interactive activities for students, including QuickTime VR images, Java applet simulations and Excel spreadsheets containing interactive macros. The site shows teachers how to take simple selected responses questions (such as an MCQ) and enhance them to test higher level skills by requiring students to use the interactive tool to assist in responding to the question.
Research Skill Development
The RSD website provides a growing number of examples, from a variety of disciplines, of assessment tasks that were generated by the Research Skill Development framework. The RSD framework is a conceptual model for academics, tutors, teachers and students to use in discipline-specific and context-specific ways; it is designed to include literature, laboratory, field and integrated research skill development and has been used in the Sciences, Engineering, Professions and Health Sciences.
