Examples of Curriculum Support
Psychology project: Report Writing and Referencing
The feedback is instant and particularly important as it makes these quizzes into interactive learning materials rather than assessment.

Writing and Speaking at Uni Course
The grammar modules for engineering students were built for Engineering Communications course and are a compulsary part of their curriculum.
The following doc explains some of the ideas behind the modules in writing and speaking: NotesOnWritingAndSpeakingOnlineModules.doc
Commercial Law Module
The Commercial Law - Legal Reasoning Tutorial was designed as an online learning module, introducing a wide range of students to working with complex legal cases and Acts of Parliament. It gives an example of a real world, commercial law problem, which the students analyse, then try and give advice upon.

Plagiarism Powerpoint Presentation
(work in progress) Powerpoint presentation designed to introduce students to plagiarism and teaches best practices on how to avoid it. Using voiceover narration and animated graphics.

Research Skill Development Website
The Research Skill Development website, a core component of the Carrick funded grant, was created to provide online resources and information about the RSD. The online framework, shown in the second screenshot below, allows a user to navigate to any particular facet or level within the RSD framework, where more information on the specific cell can be accessed. A smaller version of the framework, called the miniNav, can be found on all cell pages, and can be used to navigate easily between the various areas of the RSD.

Dentistry Core Curriculum Database (prototype)
Dentistry's core curriculum database was built as a learning framework for students to use as a quick reference to a particular medical or dental problem and for academic staff to collaboratively build content into/around. For example, curriculum material on particular medical/dental problems is gathered and screened through content experts from within the school of dentistry then added to the database. A student then searches the database with a particular dental problem and the database returns the core information the student should be thinking about when dealing with such a problem. A database search result returns core clinical, interpersonal and practical skills as well as professional behaviour guidelines and underpinning sciences related to the problem. The tool remains relevant throughout all years of undergrad and post grad study thus demonstrating its continuing pedagogical benefits.

Copyright Induction for Staff
The copyright induction for staff MyUni course is designed to be part of staff professional development curriculum and showcases some of the pedagogical benefits of using engaging scenario learning techniques.

JiTT Methodology and Resources
Just in Time Teaching is a pedagogical architecture or approach that a lecturer/teacher can adopt to build curriculum. It uses the latest "Web2.0" collaborative technologies to gather diagnostic feedback from the learners "just in time" before the face-to-face experience (i.e. lecture or tutorial) to help the teacher focus the teaching and address "where the students/learners are at" - their perceptions and misconceptions. Online Ed is coming alongside an increasing number of faculty to help them adopt this approach to building their courses.
For a more detailed explanation of the approach please refer to:
Carrington, A. & Green, I. (2007). Just in time teaching revisited: Using e-assessment and rapid e-learning to empower face to face teaching. In ICT: Providing choices for learners and learning. Proceedings ascilite Singapore 2007. http://www.ascilite.org.au/conferences/singapore07/procs/carringtonposter.pdf
ILM (Interactive Learning Module)
As well as assisting in the development of diagnostic assessment tools a percentage of the transmission (lecture) content is prepared using rapid elearning approach and technologies. Online Learning will assist the lecturer/s to build interactive learning modules to be deployed online inside MyUni to be viewed/listened to before the class meets. This allows more valuable face-to-face time to be spent in interactive teaching/lecturing.
Either in a workshop or consultancy role there is a resource available titled "Building Interactive Learning Modules using Articulate". Please refer: http://www.adelaide.edu.au/myuni/onlinelearning/learningmodules/buildingALMs/player.html

Law ILM
There is also the very successful example used in Law that was cited in the ASCILITE conference poster. Please refer to: http://www.adelaide.edu.au/myuni/onlinelearning/learningmodules/lawilm/player.html

Interactive PDF-based Leaning Guide for Dentistry
This project involved the transformation of a paper-based exercise manual into an online accessible format incorporating formative assessment elements.
Details of issues encountered through the project process were presented at the ERGA Conference 2007, University of Adelaide, 20 September.
