Hi I'm Eco...
...the Pygmy Bluetongue Lizard (Tiliqua adelaidensis).
I am the mascot of our sustainability program, Ecoversity.
My family, the Pygmy Bluetongues, are local to South Australia, particularly the mid-north region. Prior to re-discovery in 1992, we were regarded as one of the most seriously endangered of Australia’s reptile species. The Pygmy Bluetongues are excellent bio-indicators because our home (native grasslands) have been ploughed and built on.
I support all activities aimed at reducing our environmental footprint and risk. I raise awareness through participation and promotion of sustainable ideas.
