National Ride to Work Day University Challenge 2009
The University of Adelaide has won the National Ride to Work Day University Challenge with about 300 cyclists registering to ride!
The Ecoversity team worked with David Ladd and the BUG group to hold a breakfast event with free pancakes, give-aways and prizes! Eco made his first public appearance at this event and was delighted to meet University cyclists in the flesh!
The University of Adelaide beat many other University's and TAFE's from around Australia including Monash University, La Trobe University, UniSA and RMIT.
Thank you to those who registered to ride and attended the breakfast event. Cycling is a great way to stay fit and a sustainable mode of transport.
The Ecoversity team is always working to encourage and promote sustainable behaviour. Eco and the team are looking forward to next year's event to celebrate cycling with more University bike riders!
The Ride to Work day event was sponsored by the National Wine Centre, Bicycle Express, Escape Goat and BicycleSA - thank you to these sponsors who helped make a great event!
