Animal Ethics Induction half day course
Introduction to the use of animals in science: ethical considerations
When: Friday 2nd of March 2012
Time: 8 am-12 noon
Venue: University of South Australia City West Campus
A half day course for staff, honours and postgraduate students will be conducted by the Animal Ethics committees of the University of Adelaide, the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science / Adelaide Health Service, and The University of South Australia.
It is expected that all new University of Adelaide animal users will attend this Animal Ethics Induction.
The broad object of the course is to draw attention to ethical questions that must be considered when scientific and teaching activities relating to the conditional use of animals are proposed. There is particular emphasis on the responsibilities involved and on the importance of compliance with the Australian code of practice for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes - 7th Edition 2004.
