2. Find the area you want to research

3. Contact prospective supervisors to find out if they are able to take you on as a HDR student
|
Having a discussion with potential supervisors is an important way to find out about the projects they have on offer and their capacity to accept you as a student. Don't know how to find a supervisor? | ||

4. Decide on the program you want to study
|
There are several options available, including PhD, Professional Doctorates, Master of Philosophy, and Higher Doctorates. See "Which Degree Should I Choose" for more information. NOTE: to apply for entry to the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in 2013 please refer to the School of Dentistry. |

5. Check Entry Requirements

There are several entry requirements that need to be met for admission into a Higher Degree by Research. | ||

6. Complete the Admission and/or Scholarship Application |
The application must be completed by you and submitted to the Graduate Centre. |

|
7. Await notification of your acceptance into the HDR program
|
If you run into difficulties at this stage you can contact the Graduate Centre for further advice. | ||

8. Accepting your Offer
|
A hard copy of your offer letter will be posted to you. | ||

|
9. Complete your Enrolment Form and begin your research!
|
A hard copy of your enrolment form will be posted to you. Please ensure that ALL the required information on the enrolment form is completed. Some sections will need to be completed and signed by you, other sections must be completed by your School/Discipline. |
