Staff Learning and Development Programs
The Organisational Development team offers staff at the University of Adelaide a range of personal and professional development programs.
The Staff Learning and Development program curriculum focuses on three themes:
- Leading at Adelaide developing leadership capability
- Managing at Adelaide developing the skills to effectively manage others (under development)
- Excelling at Adelaide building knowledge of the University's culture and developing skills to enhance individual performance.
The following programs are currently available to support your development. Attendance at programs should be linked to your PDR. Please discuss programs with your manager or supervisor prior to enrolling, and ensure you are aware of the cancellation policy. Enrolments are made through the Course Booking System.
Leading at Adelaide
Front Line Leaders

Impact Leadership supports front line Leaders who work directly with Professional, Research and Teaching staff to embrace the challenges of leadership whilst focusing on how to get the best out of their team.This program is run over 9 full day workshops throughout the year. Momentum Leadership builds on previous leadership experiences whilst challenging existing paradigms to develop a new and contemporary approach to leading and managing yourself, your people, your resources, processes and systems. Future Research Leaders Program
This world-first leadership program has been developed collaboratively by the Go8 universities, and is delivered in full each semester for the benefit of the research community of the University of Adelaide. The program is aimed at both emerging and aspiring research leaders, and seeks to build a range of skills and knowledge critical to successful research leadership and management. VC Welcome to Adelaide
The Vice-Chancellor and President's Welcome to Adelaide event provides an opportunity for new staff to hear from the University's senior leaders and learn more about the University of Adelaide. All new staff will be personally invited to attend when joining the University. The event will be held on the following dates throughout 2012:

This program equips participants with the knowledge, skills and techniques to direct and manage high level projects ensuring the achievement of project objectives.
