Building Personal Resilience

Program Overview

Staff who are emotionally resilient are more likely to: (1) manage stress and communicate better; (2) be optimistic and confident; and (3) bounce back when faced with hardship or difficulty.

This is a two part workshop designed to build personal resilience. The first workshop explores the behaviours associated with emotional resilience (how to 'bounce back') and identifies situations in which key resilience skills are paramount (e.g., workplace, home, etc). The workshop also provides practical advice and strategies, and the opportunity to create individual development plans. The second workshop allows for reflection and the opportunity to consolidate learning.

Learning Outcomes

  • Discover what resilience is, and how to develop it.
  • Learn techniques to manage difficult situations and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Develop strategies for building resilient workplace relationships.
  • Build confidence in expressing personal views.
  • Build broad networks for problem solving and sharing.

Who should attend?

Staff who wish to enhance their 'rebounding' ability and/or assist others to build their resilience.
