Audio Visual Upgrades

The Audio Visual component of the Learning and Teaching program will involve technology upgrades to several major lecture theatres and installation of Audio Visual to selected common teaching spaces. Two venues will also be developed as Sand-pit venues creating ongoing test beds for new teaching technology.

Lecture Theatres - Due for completion January and February 2010 

Lecture theatres being upgraded to dual screen projection and enabled for audio and video recording. Napier 102 will also be developed as a high definition theatre.

  • Napier  G03 - LG29 Dual Wide Screen Projection

Common Teaching Areas - Due for completion November and December 2009

Installation of widescreen audio visual presentation systems. These systems will include: Widescreen, Installed Computer, Laptop connectivity, DVD, Document cameras and a control interface.

Sandpit Venues - January and February 2010

The sandpit venues will be dual projection widescreen with full My Media recording facilities. They will also contain leading edge Smart-Board and Writing Tablet technology. These rooms will form a 'Live' test environment for future technology.

  • Plaza 2060 & Napier G04 - Dual Wide Screen Projection, Interctive Smart Boards, Writing Tablets.
