Anthony Steel: Painful in daily doses

The Friends of the University of Adelaide Library invite you to a free author event with Anthony Steel and Ewart Shaw on Thursday 15 April 2010 at 6.00 for 6.30pm.

Venue: Ira Raymond Exhibition Room, Barr Smith Library, University of Adelaide

The legendary Anthony Steel will talk about his life and career in the Arts and his new book Painful in daily doses, in conversation with Ewart Shaw.

Anthony Steel has held leadership positions in the Arts world wide, from Los Angeles to Singapore. He was appointed the first General Manager of the Adelaide Festival Centre in 1972 and has directed five innovative Adelaide Festivals, as well as Festivals in Sydney and Brisbane. His services to the Arts were recognised with an AM award in 1978.
In this 50th anniversary year of the Adelaide Festival, Steel's reminiscences should not be missed.

Ewart Shaw is well known as arts and education producer at Radio Adelaide, news director/presenter at 5EBI FM, and as a reviewer for The Advertiser.
