Dr. Graham Willett: Duncan's Dead But We're Alive: Lesbian and Gay Activism in South Australia in the Seventies
The Friends of the University of Adelaide Library and the History Trust of South Australia invite you to a free author event with Dr. Graham Willett on Thursday 12 June 2008 at 6.00 for 6.30pm
Venue: Ira Raymond Exhibition Room, Barr Smith Library, University of Adelaide
Adelaide was at the centre of Australian lesbian and gay politics. From the murder of Dr Duncan and the nation's first (and second!) attempt at homosexual law reform and the Third National Homosexual Conference, Adelaide had it all.
Graham Willett teaches at the Australian Centre at the University of Melbourne and is president of the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives. He is author of Living Out Loud, a history of lesbian and gay activism in Australia.
This event is in association with the exhibition Blue Jeans and Jungle Greens, which is on display at the History Trust Exhibition Gallery until August 2009.
