To login to MyUni, follow the link on the University of Adelaide home page or go toGo to https://myuni.adelaide.edu.au/ and enter your staff or student ID (this is a 7 digit number preceded by a lower case "a" for example username: a1234567) and password.

MyUni Homepage
Once you have logged in you are taken to the MyUni home page. Let's have a look around..
1. It has a personalised welcome note at the top of the page and the information displayed will relate to the courses you are enrolled in.
2. There are a number of tabs across the top of the MyUni home page:
MyUni - which is open in this screen shot and is your MyUni homepage
Courses - which has more detailed information about the courses you are taking and includes links to courses you have taken in previous years
New Content - provides a quick view of any new content or activity in your courses. Note that the first time you go to this tab it may take a long time to load as all the content will be considered 'new', however subsequent visits will only show items added since your last login
Community - where you can communicate with various groups and organisations
IT Services - which will take you to the IT services homepage
For Students - will take you to the Student Centre
3. There is also a Home, Help and Logout button in the header for you to access conveniently at any time
4. On the left hand side you can see links to the various tools available. These tools are easy to use and available to all students.
5. The main part of the page consists of a number of sections. The 'My Current Courses' block is where the courses you are enrolled in will be listed. Note that if a course appears in this list but is greyed out then you are correctly enrolled in the course, but the course has not been made available by the instructor. Instructors are responsible for making their courses available at the start of each semester through the Control Panel.

Within a MyUni Course
Below is a screen shot of an example course in MyUni...
6. Each course has a navigation bar on the left hand side. The lecturer will
decide what content and activities will be made available online so you may
find that the menu items will differ quite a bit from course to course. The
menu items shown in this course are just an example of some common areas you
might find.
In most cases, the opening page of a course is the Announcements
page. This is where your lecturer leaves you messages - perhaps a notice about
room changes, timetable changes or reminders about due assignments. You should
check for announcements on a regular basis so you don't miss anything important.
7. You will find 'breadcrumb' links just below the header which provide a path of links so you know where you are in a course at all times.

Your courses in MyUni
If you are studying as an internal, on-campus student, your lecturers will use MyUni to supplement your face to face lectures, tutorials and workshops. You should check with each course lecturer as to the extent of use of MyUni in your course.
For example you should enquire:
Will the lecture notes or lecture recordings be put online?
Is MyUni where course announcements will be found?
How do we submit assignments? Electronically via MyUni? Or hard copy?
How often should we login to our MyUni course?
Will any other technologies like the virtual classroom, voice tools, wikis
or blogs be used?
If you are studying as an external student in a flexible learning format, you can expect that a large part (perhaps all) of your learning materials and communications will be conducted via MyUni and your lecturers will provide comprehensive guidelines for you, including study guides.
Logging Out
When you have finished your session in MyUni, don't forget to logout by clicking the logout button at the top of the page.
This is important to prevent someone accessing your courses and information, especially if you are using computers in a shared computer room on campus.
