ARC Linkage - Infrastructure Equipment & Facilities (LIEF)

Linkage-Infrastructure Equipment & Facilities (LIEF) provides funding assistance for the institutional resources essential for mounting high-quality research projects in a particular field, including associated indirect costs. The programme aims to develop collaborative arrangements between and within institutions, and with organisations outside the sector, in order to develop research infrastructure. Further, it allows the sharing of large-scale expensive facilities to enhance access in areas of recognised research strength and potential.
 Research Management System (RMS)
You will also be required to locally submit your application on the ARC's Research Management System (RMS) when you submit your hard copies to the Research Branch. Further information regarding RMS can be found below. To log onto RMS please go to: https://rms.arc.gov.au/
RMS Login Page
Users with existing GAMS IDs simply need to click on the “Reset Password” link, enter your current GAMS ID (case sensitive) and click on “Request”. You should then be sent an e-mail from the RMS system allowing you to reset your password.
You can retrieve your username by clicking on “Retrieve User Name”. New users without a GAMS or RMS Username will need to click on the “Request New Account” and complete the mandatory fields. RMS has a context-sensitive HELP link at the top of each webpage to assist applicant.

PDF Documents
RMS requires a number of documents to be uploaded in pdf format. The PDF AdLib Relay converter software allows you to submit a file via the web, which is then converted into PDF format and e-mailed back to you.

- Expressions of Interest: Chief Investigators from the University of Adelaide must lodge a one-page summary of the proposal together with an indication of the cash contributions of all participants with the Research Branch by no later than 29th March 2010 for any application in which they are involved, regardless of which is the administering institution.
