About the Australian Laureate Fellowship Scheme
The Australian Laureate Fellowships scheme reflects the Australian Research Council’s commitment to support excellence in research by attracting world-class Australian or non-Australian researchers to key positions in Australia. Up to 15 Australian Laureate Fellowships may be awarded for funding commencing in 2010.
Preference will be given to researchers who will play a significant, sustained leadership and mentoring role in building Australia’s internationally competitive research capacity. Laureate Fellowships do not support work in clinical medical and dental research. More information on the scheme can be found at: http://www.arc.gov.au/ncgp/laureate/laureate_default.htm
The University of Adelaide
The University of Adelaide is a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight (Go8) universities and is amongst the most research active in the nation in terms of per capita research income, publications and higher degree by research student performance. The research strength and culture of the University of Adelaide make it an ideal location for ARC Australian Laureate Fellowship recipients to undertake their programs of research.
