Career Development Fellowships
This scheme aims to further develop Australian health and medical researchers early in their career. It will enable investigators to establish themselves as independent, self-directed researchers; expand capacity for biomedical, clinical, public health and health service delivery research, and for evidence-based policy development in Australian health systems; and encourage the translation of research outcomes into practice.

Prior to submission of a Career Development Fellowship application, please ensure you read all the relevant reference material; in particular the eligibility requirements. Please note a recent change to the ARC Future Fellowships Funding Rules which states that “during the 2011 calendar year, researchers cannot apply for a Fellowship on a NHMRC Proposal and a Future Fellowship Proposal.” (see subsection 9.3.2 of the ARC Future Fellowships Funding Rules for Funding commencing in 2011 document).
