Program Grants

The aim of Program Grants scheme is to provide support for teams of high calibre researchers to pursue broadly based collaborative research activities. Teams will be expected to contribute to new knowledge at a leading international level in important areas of health and medical research. The scheme is available for all research approaches relevant to better health (ie biomedical, clinical, public health or health services research) and is typically for 5 years.

Applications open: 10 March 2010  

Applications internally close: 25 May 2010


The NHMRC's Research Grants Management System (RGMS) must be used to access/enter your CV and Profile and submit a Program Grant Application. 

Prior to the end of 2009, all current NHMRC grant holders should have received information by email on how to log into RGMS. If you are not a current NHMRC grant holder and wish to access RGMS, please visit the RGMS website for more information.

The Informed Filler application software is NOT to be used for any future Program Grant Applications.

Full applications from University of Adelaide staff to be submitted to Research Branch by the internal closing date:

  • Your application must be submitted to RAO electronically via RGMS.
  • One complete original hard copy delivered to Research Branch, Level 7, 115 Grenfell Street with a signed application coversheet.

Full applications from Clinical & Affiliate Title Holders should be submitted through their Institution's Research Secretariat.
