Managing an HDR thesis with Word 2007 (lecture)

This lecture will help the user understand the concepts involved in managing a long document. It will include a demonstration of these techniques using Microsoft Word 2007. Qualitative methods

This course aims to provide theoretical and practical training to higher degree research students and researchers wishing to use qualitative research methods. We will discuss and provide instruction about how to manage and analyse qualitative data without the use of computer software. Participants will gain practical skills, including: asking open-ended questions and setting up data coding sheets.

The course is aimed at students and researchers who are in the early stages (who have either recently or not yet begun to collect data) of the research process. Places are strictly limited. In registering, applicants are asked to send a brief overview of their current or intended research to the facilitator at anne.wilson@adelaide.edu.au, so that practical exercises can be designed to facilitate development of their research interests and design if possible.
