General Information

1. Are the lecturers local or are they from Adelaide?

Answer:

Some programs are fully taught by the teaching faculties from the University of Adelaide. The Project Management and Computer Science programs do have local experienced industry practitioners. Local lecturers are recruited under stringent assessment and approval by the University of Adelaide's Head of School.

2. What is the mode of payment?

Answer:

Payment is made by per course basis, i.e. if you are enrolled in one course in a term, you will only need to pay for that one course.

3. Is there any application fee?

Answer:

Yes, there is an application fee of S$200 upon application submission.  
The application fee is subjected to prevailing GST.
The application fee will be fully refunded if unsuccessful in meeting the entry requirements.

About the Program

6. Are the programs full time or part time?

Answer:

All Postgraduate programs are offered on part time basis over intensive weekends.

Undergraduate programs are offered either on weekend or weekday intensive mode.

Each course generally requires lecture contact duration of between 15 to 17 hours each per intensive. The total contact duration per course is 30 to 34 hours. Please view timetable.

7. How many intakes are there in a year?

8. What is the completion duration of each program? 

Answer:

Program completion duration varies depending on how the student wishes to plan his or her course enrolment. Generally for both Postgraduate and Undergraduate programs, student is allow to take between 1 year to 5 years to complete a degree. Please refer to program information for details.

9. How many courses can I enrol in per term/semester or trimester?

Answer:

There is no rigid distinction between 'full-time' and 'part-time' students and hence students are allowed to determine their own study load.

Students are discouraged from enrolling into courses in which they are unable to attend classes. Please check class schedule to establish your availability for class attendance as there is a minimum requirement of at least 80% attendance of the 30 to 34 hours per course.

Depending on the combination of courses available within the term/semestral or trimester, our Program Executives will be able to advise you accordingly.

Students are required to apply for Leave of Absence with the University for any non-enrollment of courses in each term/ semester or trimester.

10. What are the class schedules like?

13. How are the lectures conducted?

Answer:

The lectures are conducted in a classroom setting with maximum number of 35 students per course.

14. How are the courses assessed?

Answer:

Weightage on Course assessment and examination varies course by course.  Details are outlined in Course workbooks and students are advised to check on the assessment requirement before commencement of the course. You may call our Program Executives for more information.

Some assessment are on group or individual project basis. Examination may be opened book or closed book depending on the course.

15. How do you correspond with the lecturers outside class hours?

Answer:

Students may correspond with lecturers through the MyUni which is a digital 'black box' platform for lecturers to post materials and facilitate online discussion.

Alternatively, students may correspond directly with lecturers by email or phone.
