School of Animal and Veterinary SciencesWith $15 million Commonwealth and $5 million State Government contributions the University has embarked on a four-stage, $37 million capital works program for the development of teaching and animal hospital facilities and other infrastructure required for the new School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences at Roseworthy Campus. Stage One is complete and included lecture theatre audiovisual upgrades, the creation of five new tutorial rooms and the establishment of the School office. Stage Two has been completed and includes laboratory audio-visual and furniture upgrades, and the refurbishment of the first 20 staff offices. There are also improvements to the equine, cattle and sheep facilities. Stage Three is complete and includes specialist anatomy, physiology and surgical skills teaching laboratories with associated ancillary areas, and a multi purpose specimen museum/e-learning centre. Stage Four is complete and encompasses a state-of-the-art veterinary teaching hospital, a pathology suite, clinician offices and a multipurpose facility that also forms the basis of a continuing education resource for the South Australian veterinary profession. |
