Start the year with UniStep and you'll hit the ground running!

UniStep is a comprehensive program of events, activities and information to help you find your feet as a first year uni student.

UniStep will help you successfully navigate your way through university by providing you with opportunities to gain academic and life skills, have fun and meet other students. Orientation can be information overload, so UniStep gives you a chance to find out information as you need it.

Each week of UniStep has a theme with related activities to help you step towards success and learn more about the Uni. You don't need to feel like you're 'signing up' for anything - you can choose the topics you think will best help you.

There are ‘drop in’ centres where you can have an individual consultation to assist you in developing your skills:

The Writing Centre
Lecturers are available for individual consultations to help you develop your essay and report writing skills. No appointment is necessary, but students are advised to arrive early.

Maths Drop-In Centre
The Maths Drop -In Centre provides free assistance to all students encountering maths and/or stats in their studies.
